The spaceship sent to mars launches a probe containing the scout robots (very small in size)

These scout robots examine the territory and locate a suitable location that can support a structure.

After finding the right location the scout robots send a message to the mothership

The spaceship sends another probe containing the diggers/builders units

The diggers commence digging a whole where the structure is to be built
The building starts to take form.
The hole becomes filled with a structural material made up of on site resources.
At this point the spaceship sends a third probe containing units that will help in the gathering of material that is not present in the immediate surroundings.
These robots will travel on the mars surface but access the structure through tunnels

The whole gets deeper and the structure continues to grow

When the expanding member reach the desired length, different possible types of habitations can be created

a. The "branches" can become main structural members and they can intersect each other, when the desired combination is achieved the branches are filled with a strong structural material and a transparent membrane is used to fill in the gaps

b. The branches can expand and become leaf like forms that form habitable canopies. interior veins are filled with structural material and anchored to the ground.

c. another possible solution could be the forming of a tower like structure achieved through the intersection of the main members.

Before the structure is finalized, the diggers/builders enter the interior membrane of the main body. this membrane is expelled and propelled to a new site so that a new building can be created.
